I definitely agree with the idea that identity crisis occurs when a person's cultural ideas clash with the pre-existing culture in society. For instance, if a person dresses up in all black clothing and jewelry and listens to head-banging rock, he/she might end up experiencing an identity crisis. However, I think that a person would need to be thoroughly confused about who he/she is before he/she can be labeled as an "identity crisis." Speaking of labels, that's really how we identify ourselves. However, I think many different labels can blend to make the individuals in society today.
